A hint to get started

Subtract the inner solid from the outer solid

Find the value of the volume of the solid generated when the region enclosed between y=x2y=x^2 and y=xy=\sqrt x is rotated about the x-axis through 2π2\pi radians.

CJC · Lecture · Example 17

The Teacher writes larger-solid volume minus inner-solid volume and explicitly marks the square of the radius difference as incorrect. This warning is integrated into the washer setup and trap.

The Teacher adds shading and fills the integral. Both rendered copies show y=sqrt(x); the original text extraction loses the radical, so the checked visual transcription is retained separately.
