Intersect the intervals after using partial fractions

Express f(x)=3x+2(x−1)(x+4)f(x)=\dfrac{3x+2}{(x-1)(x+4)} in partial fractions and hence give the first four terms in the expansion of f(x) in ascending powers of x.

State the range of values of x for which the expansion is valid.
